a couple of months ago, Reis and I were on our way to the Cabin....
of course, I ALWAYS have to stop at this really trashy junk store..
the proceeds DO go to charity, after all! This portrait was in
a box with some old skillets and melted-together votive candles...
the clerk sold it to me for $3 and i hung it in the toilet so
the eyes of the subject of the painting could stare, at eye-level
with sitters.......Reis just hated the thing, so it's in the basement
with hundreds of other things with no appropriate home.....it seems
as though this should be a portrait of a founding father or a president,
don't you think?
