ARTISTES AT THE COUNTY FAIR, 1950'S

i always related to these "performers"
they were so much more real than the
people on the streets of a rather small
southern town............they are guarded,
cautious, even bored by their audience,
mainly rednecks that want to see
some tits 'n' ass. I went to gamble...

dunking for ducks, bingo, anything.....i won my first cheap 626 or 828 film camera at the county fair....then a set of multi-colored melmac, a antique dusty rose quilted comforter, a set of steel kitchen implements and a hamilton beach milkshake mixer.......not bad for a little kid.......then i went out to photograph the sights with my new camera............these ladies looked like Gina Lolabrigida to me, i suppose, at that time..........there was no Tony Curtis, however; just some fat version of Charles Atlas, lifting a fake 100 pound anvil with his teeth!
