becky bird

 

my friend Rebecca, whom i do not call "becky" or "becky bird", except in fun......
We have been friends for almost 40 years.... she was born on the same day as my Grandmother,
and her husband, Reis, was born on the same day as my Grandfather..... an eccentric, like me,
she is a unique creature who has formatted her own hard drive from her own specs.....she once
asked me to stay with her and Reis while my condo was being remodelled........so, i slept on
the sofa for a year and a half......it seemed like a couple of months.......she sleeps with a
six-toed cat and has seen every episode of "Law and Order" at least 2 or 3 times......she has
a very distinctive aesthetic, like myself, that no one seems to fully comprehend.....a straight-
shooter, Rebecca will tell it like it is and usually, with restraint and sensitivity.....She
believes in the magic of dice and cards and i've seen her throw a large straight on the last roll of the dice....
