Carved Stone Fruit

 

these are a few soapstone carvings that decorate
four lacquered panels that hang in my meditation
room.......watching the elaborately detailed Olympic
Opening Ceremony has caused me to think upon Chinese
Art.....it's attention to materials, design and detail..
The Lacquered panels were intended for an upper middle
class home and would pale by comparison to Imperial
Designs........
