Forbidden Impulses

We had an eccentric neighbor that lived at the peak of the mountain called Monte Sano.......Inside the Burritt home was a collection of art that was unfamiliar to me.....paintings on spiderwebs, player pianos, exotic decor....and, most noticeable, a French painting with nudes........at 12, i spent some time viewing the homoerotic "masterpiece". and would return, with my mother....to view the gardens or the view from the mountaintop.........i would have preferred a gentler introduction to the interplay of naked men....but this was the only "museum" in town.........It is now a tourist stop where spectators can view goat-milking and folksy art.........having been made homogeneous to the rest of the city, whose general population would rather view Hummel figurines and Disney Art Gels at nearby malls........
